Pure’ features the best of Azymuth’s music for Far Out Recordings from 1995-2006. All tracks have been newly re-mastered and ‘Pure’ features 11 tracks from their first four albums for the label – all currently unavailable - plus an exclusive new track ‘Morning’. 'Pure' also comes with a bonus CD of classic remixes of Azymuth from Jazzanova, 4hero, Roni Size, London Elektricty, Mark Pritchard and the slamming new Spiritual South remix of 'Roda Piao'.

Combining funk, soul and jazz with Samba, Azymuth are responsible for creating a sound and genre of their own that they named ‘Samba Doido (Crazy Samba)’. They have produced over 20 albums in three decades together including a UK No. Top 20 hit (‘Jazz Carnival’).

1996's 'Carnival' was the second album Far Out ever released and having recorded five subsequent studio albums for Far Out they are the band that many people most associate with the label. 'Pure' is a long overdue synopsis of the band's output for the label that brought them back onto the world stage in the 90s and that has helped them reach a whole new fan base.

‘Pure’ is an essential purchase for all Azymuth fans as well as a great introduction for newcomers and those who will be familiar with the band from their releases on Far Out. They embark on a European tour in May 2006 in support of the CD, tour dates are below.
